One Day Crowns are Now Possible with CEREC 3D

Have you got a damaged tooth or do you need a new crown pronto? In the past, patients had to wait for new crowns, but now, thanks to Cerec 3D, we can provide same-day treatment.

What exactly is Cerec?

Cerec (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) is a form of dental technology, which enables us to restore the teeth in a single treatment session. Typically, if you needed a crown, you would be advised to book two sessions, around 2 weeks apart. During the first appointment, your dentist would prepare the tooth and create a putty mould, which would be sent away to the dental laboratory. During the second session, the permanent, bespoke crown would be placed and fixed. With Cerec, we can undertake all aspects of treatment on-site. There’s no need for putty impressions and we don’t need to send moulds away to the lab. We can design, make and fit new crowns right here at the clinic.

Cerec uses camera images, rather than putty impressions, to form 3D templates, which are used to design and fabricate the new crown. Once the templates are ready, they are sent to the on-site milling machine and minutes later, the crown will be ready to fit.

What are the benefits of Cerec?

Cerec offers benefits for both patients and dentists. Firstly, the speed of treatment is accelerated, as every stage of the process can be completed on-site. The process is also much less messy and invasive than traditional techniques, and it’s also more precise and accurate. Dentists have more control over the design stage and patients can start benefiting from the treatment they receive straight away. There’s also the added convenience of needing one session, rather than two or three.

Did you know One Day Teeth Restoration is Possible in Essex?

The wonders of modern dentistry never cease to amaze our patients, and if you thought you would have to wait for weeks for restorative treatment, we bring you good news! With Cerec, we can offer one-day tooth restoration right here in the heart of Essex.

What is Cerec?

Cerec stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. In more basic terms, this is a type of technology, which enables us to fit brand new, bespoke restorations in just one day. Gone are the days of waiting around for a new crown or inlay. Today, we can cater for all your needs in a single session.

Cerec takes care of all aspects of restorative treatment and it enables us to design, fabricate and fit brand new, custom-designed crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays on the same day. Normally, we would create impressions of the tooth, which would be sent away to a laboratory. After around 2 weeks, the new restoration would arrive at the clinic and we would schedule an appointment to place it. With Cerec, we can undertake every stage of treatment under one roof, enabling us to offer same-day restorative therapy. Cerec uses images, rather than putty moulds to act as a template for the new restoration, which makes the process quicker, cleaner and more accurate.

The benefits of Cerec

The most obvious benefit of Cerec is the time it takes to complete treatment. Rather than waiting 2 weeks for results, patients can enjoy the benefits after just one day. The process is also simpler and more pleasant for patients, with no need to have putty moulds of the mouth created, which can be uncomfortable. Dentists have more control over the procedure, and there’s no need for patients to take time off work for two appointments on separate days.

How Advance Dental Clinic Can Provide a Completely New Set of Teeth in One Day

We are used to the wonders of modern dentistry, but it never ceases to amaze us what can be achieved in a single day in this day and age. If you thought it would take months or years to get the smile of your dreams, think again! We have some incredible same-day treatments that can give you a brand new, beautiful smile.

Our treatments

We offer SynCone implant-retained dentures and All-on-4 implants.

SynCone is an implant-retained denture system, which uses between 4 and 6 tapered implants to support a new denture. The posts are attached to the denture, giving you a stunning, natural looking smile and enabling you to enjoy all the benefits of a healthy set of teeth. Usually, it takes months to complete implant treatment, as it takes time for the implants to integrate into the bone tissue. With SynCone implants, however, it is possible to fit the new denture and the implants on the same day, so you don’t have to wait to start reaping the rewards of treatment.

All-on-4 is a same-day implant treatment, which can give you a dazzling new smile in a single treatment session. All-on-4 utilises a set of four implants to support a full arch of new teeth. Traditionally, it takes between 6 and 10 implants to anchor a full arch, but All-on-4 implants are different. The back two implants are located at a 45-degree angle to maximise strength and stability. Once all four implants have been positioned and secured, the new teeth can be attached. You can enjoy instant benefits and you can show off your brand new smile straight away.

How Advance Dental Clinic Can Fix Your Broken Tooth

Do you have a broken tooth? If you’re in pain or you’re worried about your broken tooth getting worse or affecting the aesthetic of your smile, we are here to help!

What causes a broken tooth?

Accidents and injuries can cause damage to the teeth, but it is also possible for the teeth to become weak and brittle as a result of decay and gum disease. If you have a broken tooth or you’ve started to notice that your tooth is painful or sore, we advise you to get in touch as soon as possible. If the tooth is broken, we can use a range of techniques and treatments to prevent further damage, repair and restore the tooth or replace the tooth if it’s not salvageable.

When you come and see us, your Essex dentist will examine your mouth to ascertain the cause of the problem and the severity of the damage. This will help them to determine the best course of action in terms of treatment options.

Fixing a broken tooth

If your tooth is chipped and the damage is only minor, it can be possible to patch it up using a filling or a technique called dental composite. Composite is a tooth-coloured material, so you won’t be able to notice the difference between the composite and the rest of the tooth. If damage is more severe, a new crown may be recommended. Crowns are sometimes known as caps because they are placed over the top of your tooth. Crowns can be made from precious metals and ceramics. Porcelain crowns are very popular because of their aesthetic appeal. Once the crown is in place, it should last around 5 years. Every time you have a check-up, your dentist will have a look at the crown to make sure that it’s still in good working order.

If the tooth is so severely damaged that it cannot be restored, there’s no need to panic. We offer dentures, dental bridges and dental implants.

Call us today and we’ll have you smiling again in no time!

How CEREC can restore your tooth in one day

If you’ve got a broken tooth or you’re in desperate need of a new veneer, you may be thinking that you’ve got a 2-week wait ahead. Thankfully, at Advance Dental Clinic, we understand that time is of the essence, and we have fast-acting solutions available for patients on the go. With CEREC, we are able to transform your smile in just one day.

What is CEREC?

CEREC is a revolutionary form of technology, which enables us to restore the teeth in a single day. Traditionally, when you need a new crown, for example, we would use putty to create a mould of the tooth, which would be sent away to a laboratory. A dental technician would make a new crown and then return it to us and we would fit it. With CEREC, the process is much simpler and faster. We can do everything on-site, and the entire process takes less than a day.

CEREC technology gives the opportunity to design, manufacture and fit bespoke crowns, veneers, onlays and inlays in a single day. This means that patients don’t have to wait around to enjoy the results of their treatment.

What does treatment involve?

The first stage of CEREC treatment involves using a camera to take pictures of the tooth or teeth. These images are then converted by CEREC into models, which are sent to the on-site milling machine. The fabrication process then begins and minutes later, you have your bespoke restoration. Your dentist will then secure the restoration, and you can see your new smile for the first time.

With CEREC, there’s no need for putty impressions, which is great news for patients who find that an uncomfortable experience, or temporary restorations. As Essex dentists, we have greater control over the procedure, and we can explain how things work, and show you what to expect when your new crown or veneer is ready.
