At Advance Dental Clinic, we pride ourselves on providing our clients with speedy, simple solutions for dental problems. If you need a crown or a new inlay in a hurry, we can help! With Cerec 3D, we can create computer crafted restorations while you wait. Gone are the days of hanging around for restorative treatment.
What is Cerec 3D?
In the past, when you needed a crown for your tooth, your dentist would prepare your teeth, create an impression using dental putty, and then send it away to a laboratory. There, a dental technician would use the putty mould to fabricate a bespoke crown for you. The crown would then be sent back to the clinic, and your dentist would fit the crown. This process usually takes around 2 weeks and it requires two dental appointments. With Cerec, we are able to complete every phase of treatment on-site, meaning we can provide you with a bespoke restoration in just one day. There’s no need to book multiple appointments, and we can craft your crown while you wait.
Cerec 3D can be used to create a range of restorations, including crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.
The advantages of Cerec 3D
Cerec 3D offers an array of advantages for both dentists and patients. These include:
- A simple, hassle-free process with no need for messy putty.
- Single-session treatment
- Greater control of the design process for dentists
- Enhance comfort for patients
- Quick, accurate results
What does Cerec treatment involve?
Cerec treatment involves a very simple process. Rather than using dental putty to create a mould of your tooth, your dentist will take pictures using a specially designed camera. These images will be converted into 3D models by Cerec software. The model will then be sent to the on-site milling machine, and your bespoke restoration will be fabricated while you wait. Once it is ready, your dentist will place it, and secure it, and you can enjoy your brand new smile.
