One Day is All it Takes For Restored Teeth With CEREC

In times gone by, it took weeks to restore a tooth. Fast forward to 2018, and our patients can enjoy same day treatment. If you’re looking for a swift solution for dental damage, we may have the answer. With Cerec, we are able to create bespoke, high-quality restorations in a single session.

What exactly is Cerec?

Cerec is a form of advanced dental technology, which gives us the opportunity to offer same-day restorative treatment to our patients. Cerec technology enables us to complete every stage of the restoration process on-site, reducing treatment time from 2 weeks to a single day. Traditionally, when you need a new crown, your dentist will create an impression of your tooth, which is sent away to a laboratory. A dental technician will then craft a new crown and send it back, and your dentist will schedule an appointment to fit the crown. With Cerec, the process is much simpler. Cerec technology takes control of every phase, using camera images to create 3D models, which are transmitted to the on-site milling machine. The next step is to manufacture the bespoke restoration, which can then be fitted and secured.

The advantages of Cerec technology

There are several advantages of Cerec technology, including:

  • Speed: Cerec enables us to carry out treatment in one session, rather than during 2-3 sessions 2-3 weeks apart
  • Simplicity and convenience: the process is a lot simpler and more convenient for both dentists and patients
  • No need for temporary restorations: with Cerec, a permanent restoration can be fitted straight away, with no need for temporary crowns
  • Comfort: many people find the process of having impressions made unpleasant and uncomfortable. With Cerec, there’s no need for putty.
  • Control and accuracy: Cerec gives dentists greater control over the process of making new restorations and it also improves accuracy and eliminates mistakes.

If you need a new crown, dental veneers, inlays or onlays, why not get in touch with us today and find out more about the wonders of Cerec technology?

One Day, Natural Looking Restorations With Cerec 3D

At Advance Dental Clinic, we know that time is of the essence for many of our patients, and this is why we offer speedy solutions. If you need a new restoration, we’ve got you covered. With Cerec 3D, we can provide natural-looking, same-day restorations.

The benefits of Cerec

Cerec offers us an alternative to traditional restorative methods, and it enables us to complete the entire treatment process in one single session. With Cerec, we can design, fabricate and fit brand new crowns in just one day. We can do everything on-site, and you don’t have to worry about booking multiple appointments or having temporary restorations fitted. The treatment process with Cerec is cleaner, faster and more accurate, and patients can enjoy the results almost immediately.

Usually, when you need a new crown, for example, treatment takes around 2 weeks. An impression is made using dental putty, and this is sent away to the laboratory. A temporary crown is fitted and this is replaced around 2 weeks later when the new, bespoke crown is ready. With Cerec, every stage is completed in one day in one place.

The Cerec treatment stages

Cerec is a hugely innovative form of dental technology, which eliminates the need for putty moulds, repeat appointments and temporary restorations. To start the process, we will take photographs of your mouth. These are converted into 3D moulds by Cerec, and these moulds are used to form the template of your bespoke crown. The next step is creating the restoration. The model image is sent to the on-site milling machine, and fabrication takes just a few minutes. The next step is fitting the new restoration. Your dentist will place the crown, the veneers, inlays or onlays, and then secure the restoration.

Digital Smile Design with Cerec

If you thought you had to hang around for a new tooth restoration, think again! With Cerec, we can use state of the art digital design techniques and rapid manufacturing processes to create same-day, bespoke restorations.

The ins and outs of Cerec

Cerec is a form of technology, which has revolutionised the way we restore and repair the teeth. Cerec uses the latest techniques to design and create customised crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays. The first stage of treatment involves preparing the tooth by covering the surface with a very fine layer of reflective powder. We then use a special camera to take a photograph of the affected tooth, and this is used to create an accurate 3D template of the tooth. This digital model is used to fabricate the bespoke restoration. With Cerec technology, we are able to design the new crown or veneers right in front of our patients’ eyes, and you’ll be able to see what’s going on using a screen. We can talk you through the process, and you can learn all about the wonders of computer-aided design.

The benefits of Cerec

Cerec offers multiple benefits for patients who are keen to enjoy the results of restorative treatment in an instant. Examples include:

Single Day Tooth Repair is Possible With Cerec

Have you got a broken tooth or do you need a new crown pronto? If you need results quickly, you’ve come to the right place! At Advance Dental, we offer same-day tooth repair thanks to Cerec, a technological innovation, which has revolutionised the way we work. If you thought you’d have to wait days, or even weeks, for a new restoration, think again!

What is Cerec and how could it benefit me?

Cerec is a form of technology, which enables us to carry out same-day restorative work. Cerec technology caters for every aspect of the design and fabrication process, enabling us to provide single-day treatment on-site. With Cerec, we don’t have to create putty moulds that are sent away to a laboratory. We can design and make custom-made restorations right here, enabling us to fit them on the same day.

We can use Cerec to create bespoke veneers, crowns, inlays and onlays.

In the past, restorative treatment took around 2 weeks and involved two sessions. The first appointment was used to create the mould for the restoration using dental putty. This mould was then sent to the laboratory and the new restoration was fabricated by a dental technician and sent back. The second session was used to fit the new restoration. With Cerec, we can do everything in a single day, with no need for multiple appointments, no messy putty and instant results. If you need tooth repairs urgently, Cerec could be your saviour.

What does the process involve?

The Cerec process is very straightforward. The first stage is to take pictures of the tooth using a special type of camera. These images are converted into precise 3D models, which are sent to the on-site milling machine. The next step is the fabrication of the restoration, which takes minutes. Once the restoration is ready, it can then be placed and secured by your dentist.

Custom made dental restorations with CEREC

Even as dentists, we are amazed at how far dentistry has come. Today, we have some simply incredible treatments and technology at our fingertips and we’re excited to offer our clients an impressive array of services, including same-day tooth restorations. Thanks to a form of technology known as Cerec, our clients don’t have to wait weeks for a new custom-made restoration. We can restore your teeth in just one day.

The ins and outs of Cerec

Cerec is an amazing form of technology, which shortens treatment time dramatically, enabling patients to benefit from same-day crowns and veneers. Before the days of Cerec, we had to create impressions of the tooth, which were sent away to a dental laboratory. Dental technicians used these impressions as moulds for the new restorations and we fitted them once they were ready, usually around 2 weeks later. With Cerec, the waiting game is over and we can now provide a same-day service.

Cerec utilises images of the teeth to create detailed templates, which are passed on to the on-site milling machine. The bespoke restoration is then fabricated and your dentist can fit it as soon as it is ready. The entire process can be completed at the clinic in a single appointment.

The benefits of Cerec for patients

Cerec offers a host of benefits for patients, including:

  • Reduced treatment times and only one appointment required
  • No need for putty moulds or temporary restorations
  • Greater accuracy
  • Bespoke restorations in just one day
  • Enhanced comfort

Did you know One Day Teeth Restoration is Possible in Essex?

The wonders of modern dentistry never cease to amaze our patients, and if you thought you would have to wait for weeks for restorative treatment, we bring you good news! With Cerec, we can offer one-day tooth restoration right here in the heart of Essex.

What is Cerec?

Cerec stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. In more basic terms, this is a type of technology, which enables us to fit brand new, bespoke restorations in just one day. Gone are the days of waiting around for a new crown or inlay. Today, we can cater for all your needs in a single session.

Cerec takes care of all aspects of restorative treatment and it enables us to design, fabricate and fit brand new, custom-designed crowns, veneers, inlays and onlays on the same day. Normally, we would create impressions of the tooth, which would be sent away to a laboratory. After around 2 weeks, the new restoration would arrive at the clinic and we would schedule an appointment to place it. With Cerec, we can undertake every stage of treatment under one roof, enabling us to offer same-day restorative therapy. Cerec uses images, rather than putty moulds to act as a template for the new restoration, which makes the process quicker, cleaner and more accurate.

The benefits of Cerec

The most obvious benefit of Cerec is the time it takes to complete treatment. Rather than waiting 2 weeks for results, patients can enjoy the benefits after just one day. The process is also simpler and more pleasant for patients, with no need to have putty moulds of the mouth created, which can be uncomfortable. Dentists have more control over the procedure, and there’s no need for patients to take time off work for two appointments on separate days.

Strengthen Your Weakened Tooth with a Crown

If you have a tooth that is infected or damaged, there is a risk of further damage and decay and a crown can help to restore and strengthen a weakened tooth.

Why would I need a crown?

Crowns are commonly used as a means of making a tooth stronger and protecting it from damage caused by injury or disease. You may be advised to have a crown if your tooth is infected, you have broken your tooth or you have had root canal treatment. Crowns are also frequently placed after dental implant treatment.

What are the benefits of dental crowns?

Dental crowns can effectively help to save a tooth that has become weakened as a result of an injury,  accident or decay. Without a crown, the tooth may continue to get weaker and eventually need to be removed.

Crowns can also have aesthetic benefits for your smile.

What are crowns made from and what does treatment involve?

Crowns can be made from many different materials, including precious metals and ceramics, such as porcelain. It is also possible to have a crown made from a combination of metal and ceramic. Ceramic crowns are very popular because they are more aesthetically pleasing than metal crowns and match the natural tooth colour.

Treatment usually involves two appointments, one or two weeks apart. During the first appointment, your dentist will prepare the tooth by removing all the damaged tissue and cleaning your tooth thoroughly. An impression will then be created using dental putty.

When your new crown is ready, your dentist in central London will give your tooth another clean and then fix the crown in place over the top of your natural tooth. The crown is secured using strong dental adhesive and once in place, it should last for several years provided that you look after it well.

Having a Dental Bridge Fitted in Chelmsford

Since dental bridges have come onto the market, they have become the more preferred choice to that of a partial denture. For a start, they are permanently fixed in the mouth, they last, with care, for a good 20 years and at around £300 for the treatment, not a bad price for a fixing that allows you the freedom your lost tooth allowed you. They do require a little more attention with cleaning- your dentist will be able to supply special brushes and show you how to look after your bridge. There are generally three main functioning types on the market, although it’s not down to which you prefer, it’s down to where in the mouth you have lost your tooth. If a bridge has only one tooth to bond to using wire and resin, you will require a cantilever bridge. A similar technique of wire and resin bonding is used to attach a Maryland bridge, bonded to two or more adjacent teeth. The most popular however is a fixed bridge; the new tooth is bonded between two crowns and cemented onto two adjacent teeth either side of the gap. Aside from the vanity appeal to replacing a tooth, there are health implications too. Teeth around a gap can move and become loose. Food can become lodged around the gap and gums, and bacteria can set in, leading to tooth decay, gum disease and hence, further loss.
