Did you Know Chemical Peel Treatments can Rejuvenate Your Skin?

As the summer becomes a distant memory, many of us will be looking for therapies and treatments that can restore that healthy glow and revive our complexions. If you long for bright, beautiful, youthful skin without undergoing surgery, we may have just the solution for you. Our chemical peels are designed to revive and rejuvenate the skin, making them the ideal option for those keen to enjoy that healthy summer radiance all year-round.

What is a chemical peel?

A chemical peel is a skin treatment which involves applying a mask of carefully selected chemicals to the surface of the skin. The mask exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells and revitalising the upper layers of the skin. Chemical peels are hugely versatile, and they offer benefits for individuals with all kinds of different complaints or flaws, from pigmentation and open pores, to blemishes and facial lines. The aim is to breathe new life into your complexion so that you look and feel a million dollars.

What does treatment involve?

Before you have a chemical peel, you will be invited to an informal consultation, which will enable you to find out more about the treatment and give our experienced practitioners the chance to take a good look at your complexion. Before your first session, you will be asked to apply a special primer to your skin for two weeks. This will help to prepare the skin for treatment. Chemical peels are then placed on the skin over the course of a 4-week period, with one treatment session per week. After your treatment, you will be provided with a post peel cream and a strong sunblock to protect your skin. You’ll start to notice a difference after the first session but the full extent of the results will start to become visible a few days after your final treatment.

Chemical peels are suitable for all skin types, and we use a medium-strength mask.

Refresh Your Smile and Your Face with Chemical Peels

At Advance Dental, we specialise in creating and preserving beautiful smiles, but we also offer the latest facial treatments. Our non-surgical services are designed to make you look and feel incredible. One of our most popular treatment options is a chemical peel.

What is a chemical peel?

Chemical peels are designed to remove surface cells to rejuvenate, revive and reinvigorate the skin. If your skin lacks sparkle, you’re worried about the signs of ageing, or you have pigmentation or scarring, a chemical peel could give you the complexion you crave. A peel involves applying a chemical mask to the skin, which promotes skin cell renewal and rids the surface of dead cells.

Why would I need a chemical peel?

Every day, your skin is subjected to potential hazards and wear and tear. Sun damage, the wind, and your lifestyle habits can all take their toll on the look and feel of your skin. A chemical peel is designed to breathe new life into your complexion and make you feel more confident. Using specially designed chemical exfoliants, this procedure can brighten the complexion, reduce the visibility of pores, scars and blemishes and enable you to embrace and enjoy your natural beauty.

How does a chemical peel work?

Chemical peels target the superficial layers of the skin, and they can help to target a number of skin problems. If you have blemishes, pigmentation, lines or large pores, this treatment can help to reverse the signs of ageing caused by sun exposure, minimise pores and smooth the surface of the skin, as well as increasing radiance and youthfulness.

What does the treatment involve?

Chemical peels are administered over the course of a series of sessions, which take place a week apart. Before treatment commences, you will be provided with a specially designed primer to protect and prepare your skin. You will then have four sessions and these will be followed by aftercare. By the end of treatment, you should notice an incredible difference in the look of your skin.

Our facial treatments

We offer a wide range of non-surgical facial treatments, which are designed to add radiance, reduce the visibility of signs of ageing, and make you feel more confident. Our treatments include:

Botox

Botox is a very common facial treatment, which is used to soften lines and wrinkles and create a more youthful aesthetic. Botox is injected into targeted areas of the skin. It reduces the severity of wrinkles by relaxing the facial muscles. When Botox is injected into the skin, this restricts muscle contraction by blocking nerve signals. Botox treatment is simple and painless, and the results last up to 6 months. Usually, a treatment session takes around 20 minutes and the results become visible after 24-36 hours. To administer treatment, our highly-trained aesthetic practitioner, Semira, uses a very fine needle. Most people don’t need anaesthetic but if you’re nervous, we can apply a mild topical anaesthetic to prevent pain.

Fillers

Fillers are an increasingly popular treatment for those looking for younger skin. Fillers soften lines and add volume to the skin, combatting the signs of depleted collagen in the body. Collagen is the fibre that gives the skin its bounce and structure. Fillers can be used to prevent saggy skin, to reduce the visibility of lines and to enhance the facial features, for example, the cheekbones. Like Botox, the process is very quick and straightforward. The results last up to 9 months.

Chemical peels

If you dream of glowing skin, a chemical peel may be just the tonic for you. Chemical peels are designed to remove the surface skin layers, producing a radiant, youthful complexion. Treatment takes place over 4 weeks.

5 Tips for Brighter Looking Skin

Do you dream of glowing skin for spring? If you’re eager to inject new life into a dull or drab complexion, here are 5 top tips for more radiant skin:

  1. Exfoliate: exfoliation is a technique used to remove dead skin cells from the surface layers of the skin. Ideally, you should exfoliate once a week. This will help to remove old cells and promote the development of new skin cells. Exfoliating gives your skin a healthy glow, and it can also make your skin feel much softer.
  2. Moisturise: the winter months can take their toll on our skin, and by the time spring comes around, your complexion may be dull and your skin dry. Moisturising nourishes and hydrates the skin, reducing the risk of dryness and making your complexion brighter and more youthful.
  3. Chemical peels: chemical peels are an excellent way to boost radiance and make the skin look younger. A chemical mask is applied to the skin and you have a series of sessions over a period of weeks. Chemical peels are suitable for most skin types, as different strength masks are available. Ask our expert team for more information.
  4. Dermal fillers: dermal fillers are a popular non-invasive facial treatment. This type of treatment is used to revive the skin and make you look and feel more youthful. Fillers are used to add volume and they can help to counteract the effects of lost collagen. Collagen is the fibre, which gives the skin its structure.
  5. Stay hydrated: dehydration is a common cause of dull, flaky skin. Stay hydrated by taking plenty of fluids on board. Aim for two litres of water per day and increase your intake if you exercise or it’s a hot day.

Rejuvenate Your Face in the New Year with Advance Dental Clinic

If you’re embracing the ‘New Year, new me’ concept, why not treat yourself to fabulous facial rejuvenation at Advance Dental? We have a range of treatments on offer, which will revitalise and revive your skin and ensure you start 2018 looking and feeling fantastic.

Our treatments

We offer a range of non-surgical facial treatments, which are designed to roll back the years and give your complexion a healthy radiance. We are lucky to have Monica Berrange, an experienced aesthetic practitioner, on our team, so we can assure you that you’re in the best hands. Our treatments include:

Botox: Botox is a purified form of type A botulinum toxin , injected into the skin to reduce the visibility of wrinkles and facial lines. Botox works by suppressing muscle contraction in the facial muscles. It is most common to have Botox around the eyes, mouth and nose and on the forehead. Botox treatment involves having a series of injections. A very fine needle is used to prevent pain and the procedure only takes around 15-30 minute. This is a temporary solution and the effects of treatment should last up to 6 months.

Fillers: dermal fillers are used to add volume to the skin and they can help to counteract the effects of a loss of collagen. Collagen is the fibre that gives the skin its firmness. As you get older, your collagen stores become depleted and this is why your skin sags and you develop wrinkles. Fillers add a youthful bounce to the skin and they can also define your features, including your cheekbones and your jaw line. Like Botox, fillers are not a permanent solution and they produce effects that last up to 9 months.

Chemical peel: if your skin is in need of some TLC and you’ve lost that youthful healthy glow, a chemical peel may be just the tonic. Treatment takes place over a number of weeks. We use carefully selected products to create smooth, fresh-looking, vibrant complexions.

Turn Back the Clock: How Advance Dental Clinic can Reinvigorate your entire face

At Advance Dental Clinic, we don’t just specialise in creating beautiful smiles. We also offer reinvigorating treatments, which can make you look and feel a million dollars.

We often find that cosmetic dental treatments have an incredible impact on your overall aesthetic, as the teeth play an important supporting role for the cheeks and lips. When you lose teeth, the cheeks may sag, and this can make you look and feel older.

In addition to our cosmetic and restorative dental treatments, we also offer facial rejuvenation and chemical peels.

Facial rejuvenation

Facial rejuvenation is a form of treatment, which is designed to make the complexion look more youthful. As we age, our skin is often the bearer of bad news. When you look in the mirror, you see wrinkles and lines, and your skin doesn’t have the same vibrancy and bounce as it used to. The good news is that you don’t have to put up with the signs of ageing if you don’t want to. With our non-invasive treatments, we can revive your skin and make you look younger in no time.

We offer Botox and filler treatment. Both treatments are designed to reduce the visibility of lines and wrinkles, and treatment only takes around 15-30 minutes. Botox works by relaxing the facial muscles, while fillers add volume to the skin to combat reduced stores of collagen and elastin. Both treatments involve having a series of targeted injections. This may sound painful, but we promise that it isn’t! We can apply topical anaesthetic, and we use a very fine needle. We are lucky to have a highly experienced professional on our team. With Monica, you’re in the safest hands. The effects of Botox treatment last up to 6 months, while fillers last up to 9 months.

Chemical peels

Chemical peels are designed to refresh your skin, and they can also help to smooth the skin and combat skin problems. Treatment usually involves a series of four treatments, which involve specially designed chemicals being placed onto the surface of the skin. Before treatment, you’ll be advised to use products to prepare your skin, and you’ll also be advised to use products after your last session. It’s incredibly important to protect your skin from the sun between sessions.
