Are you the person that has had to live with a ‘toothy’ smile most of your life, that has rather suffered socially because of it and find that whenever you have a photo taken, you recoil in horror and find yourself looking in the opposite direction? But does the idea of having a lengthy procedure to straighten your teeth also make you recoil? Well if it’s only the front few teeth causing you problems, help is at hand in the dental surgeries of Chelmsford in the shape of the Inman aligner. This cracking little tailor-made device has ways of straightening the teeth in as little as 6 weeks and all you have to do once the treatment is over is to wear a retainer in the leisure of your own company for a while to prevent the teeth from springing back into place. The unique thing about the Inman is its mechanism- a combination of a spring pushing the teeth one way whilst a wire around the front pulls the teeth into the desired location- essentially the opposing forces rock the teeth to and fro until the they are in place. For someone who doesn’t fancy the long drawn out alternatives, this is perfect, but the dessert topping about this device is that it is removable- great when eating and great when cleaning. Just a few short years ago, being able to straighten out a set of crooked teeth without having a mouth full of metal seemed like an unattainable the pipe dream, or the ramblings of a fantasist. But things have changed and now dentists in Chelmsford and the rest of the United Kingdom can offer patients an Inman aligner to cure minor alignment issues in their mouths.
Rather than using a whole set of metal brackets and metal wires, Inman aligners work using a concealed, coiled spring which, over time, pushes teeth against a straightening bar which runs across the front teeth. This bar is the only visible part of Inman aligners and, as such, it is far more discreet than the traditional brace. It is one of the terrible ironies of metal braces that, in order for patients to have a better looking smile, they must have a mouth full of metal for several years in the process.
Inman aligners work far quicker than metal braces as well. The average time that a patient will need to wear an Inman aligner is about six months. This is about a quarter of the two years that many people need to wear a traditional, metal brace for. It is suitable for patients of any age and can correct most problems with alignment except for actually rotating teeth.
The results will be stunning. If you have grown used to having crooked teeth, you might not be aware of what a huge difference it will make to your outlook on life by having a set of straight teeth. For one thing you’ll find that you are smiling an awful lot more because you want to show off your lovely set of teeth! One of the problems that arise from the wonders of cosmetic dentistry is that people find themselves rushing into the latest ‘must have’ treatments for a quick fix, when in all reality, they don’t have to. Veneers for example are beautiful in the mouth, but if they are to cover a bunch of overcrowded teeth, an extensive amount of removal of the original tooth is required before they can be fitted. This is where aligner treatment, followed by simple bleaching treatments can have the same affect, without causing as much damage. Even then, adults are very wary to undergo lengthy treatments with fixed braces- enter the Inman aligner! Available in Chelmsford now, this unique, beautifully engineered device transcends all that have gone before it. Its mechanism and design only allows it to pull the front teeth into line, but wow, how it does it is sensational! Its constant ‘push me/pull you’ pressure on the teeth, keep them on the move all the time and get them into line in as little as 6 weeks!! Now, that’s a device that not only blows all the others out of the equation, but if you think about it, allows you to slot the treatment succinctly into your diary for the year. But if you need anymore convincing of just how much this device has taken the dental world by storm, it only has to be worn for about 20 hours a day meaning….it’s also removable!!! But now the icing on the cake- it’s a fraction of the cost of other treatments!!!! Call 01245 268 494 for a free consultation at Advance Dental Clinic in Chelmsford.

If you have front teeth that have always been a problem, or you are suffering from a little bit of overcrowding in the front of the mouth, the Inman aligner is a teeth straightening method, available in Basildon today, that will do the job for you very quickly, so that you don’t have to undertake a lengthy period of treatment associated with other braces and aligners; the ‘Inman’ promises to work on your teeth, anywhere from 6 to 16 weeks. It has a very innovative mechanism that keeps a constant series of opposite forces working on your teeth, manipulating and rocking them gently into place. Its design incorporates a wire that pulls on the front teeth, whilst a bar pushes on the teeth from the inside, both working off one another through a coiled spring. Because the teeth are in a continual flux of movement, they move exceedingly quickly. This allows the wearer to weave a ‘window’ of treatment into their diary, maybe when the social calendar is likely to be quiet, and if should something come up, the wearer can remove the aligner for a couple of hours. Yes! It’s removable too! This lets you to eat more freely and continue a healthy programme of oral hygiene- a luxury cruelly missing from those wearing fixed braces, and if you thought it couldn’t get any better, check out the cost. The Inman aligner’s starting price is around £1600, depending on the intricacies of work needed, that can be spread gently over the course of the treatment. Imagine a brace that can straighten your teeth in just weeks. In the past such a process would have taken months or even years and concealed your smile behind metal brackets and wires while it was working. A new aligner is now available that is much quicker than traditional braces and incredibly discreet too. While it corrects your teeth all that will be visible is one small bar across your teeth, an amazing advance on the appearance of traditional braces.
This new aligner is called Inman and it offers amazing results in an average of under six months although it can take just six weeks. Inman is totally removable so you can clean your teeth conveniently and eat in comfort knowing that food is not being trapped. You can take it out for social occasions to and feel the boost to your self-confidence that this will bring.
Inman gently achieves straightening by harnessing the power of a coiled spring. The spring will sit on the inside of your teeth and gently push them out. That the workings of an Inman are on the inside of your teeth means that it is extremely discreet and gives room for the other teeth to be pulled into place against the front teeth’s straightening bar. The Inman cannot rotate teeth but it is very effective at dealing with small alignment issues.
Incredibly an Inman aligner costs about the same as many other orthodontic treatments, even taking into the account the fact that it is so much faster. If you don’t fancy wearing unsightly metal braces, contact your Epping dentist today and ask about the stunning results you could get from an Inman aligner. Inman Aligners are an orthodontic brace that straightens and moves the teeth to a position that nature intended, many adults have crooked teeth and to use general braces would be prohibitive for them. Most dentists use Inman Aligners as an alternative to the Invisalign type of brace. Inman Aligners are limited to the amount of movement they can achieve, and generally work better on misalignments of the lower and upper front teeth. They are generally not suitable for cases where the teeth are crowded or compacted in the mouth. After the first consultation, your dentist will be able to determine if you are suitable for the Inman Aligner. The Inman Aligner is not entirely clear like its rival the Invisalign brace; it has a metal bar that is prominent across the front of the teeth. However, the Inman Aligner has more benefits than the invisible brace system. One of the main benefits is that this system is removable at will; the patient can easily remove and replace it at any time. This makes eating and cleaning the inman aligner much simpler, it is also handy for the busy executive who needs to be brace free at a business meeting. The brace works by pulling and pushing the misaligned teeth into the position that is required by the patient, and this whole operation can take in between 6 to 16 weeks. The cost isn’t too much either, and you can expect to pay anywhere between £1,300 and £2,500 depending on the length of time and the amount of visits required. A patient will need to visit the dentist every two weeks to have a new aligner fitted, this is done by adjusting the springs and the bar to lessen or increase the push and pulling elements of the brace. One of the first things we notice about people when we meet them is their smile. It is one of the most important ways of communicating that humans have and so it is important that you have a good one. A lack of confidence in smiling because of self-confidence issues caused by your teeth can have a real impact on your life so it is important that you are comfortable and happy with your teeth.
Patients who do not have naturally straight teeth can regain this self-confidence by using orthodontic straightening devices, more commonly known as braces. Braces have been used for decades to straighten teeth but have previously been uncomfortable and ugly metal brackets that can result in a further loss of confidence. Although the teeth would eventually be straight, the procedure involved wearing the unseemly braces for up to two years, which did little to restore patient’s confidence, especially those in their difficult teenage years.
However, with the recent advances in dental technology there are finally more pragmatic solutions to misaligned teeth. One of the most recent and effective braces to emerge is the Inman aligner. A discreet and incredibly fast-acting brace that can achieve visibly straighter teeth in as little as six-months, a reduction of 75 per cent on previous treatment times.
The aligner achieves these incredible results by utilizing the force of a coiled spring. The spring sits on the tongue side of the teeth and gradually moves the lateral teeth out creating room for the front teeth to move into. These are then aligned using a straightening bar that runs along the front of the teeth. This bar is the only visible part of the brace.
The aligner may cause some initial discomfort when fitted but this will usually fade after the first week, but this is common to all orthodontic appliances. Other than this the treatment is relatively free of discomfort. Another benefit of the Inman aligner over traditional fixed braces is that it can be removed for important social or professional occasions.
If you are suffering from overcrowded teeth or lacking the confidence that comes with a beautiful smile, ask a dentist about the Inman aligner and see whether it could bring the smile back to your face. Call 01245 268 494 for a free consultation at Advance Dental Clinic in Chelmsford.

We are now starting to complete many of our Inman Aligner patients started a few months ago. The treatment is great for mild crowding cases like the one on the case of the month page.
This treatment was completed in a much shorter time than normal braces and has created a great smile for the patient.

One of the many rpoblems with growing old, (as I should know being 44 this week) is the drift of teeth making the teeth look overcrowded. With our various techniques to correct this crowding using Invisalign or the Inman aligner we can quickly make the teeth look good again. Often used in conjunction with tooth whitening we can make a dramatic improvement to the smile with a minimum of treatment.

At the start of this year we introduced the Inman Aligner into our clinic after Andrew attended the accreditation course in London. We are now finishing our first few cases, with great results coming through. Most cases are taking only 2-3 months to complete, with the patient feedback being very positive on both the wearing of the aligners and the final results achieved. The aligner works really well for mild crowding on the upper or lower front teeth, is removable and the treatment can be completed very quickly.
Call us on 01245 268 494 if you think this treatment might be good for you.
