Cosmetic treatments

At Advance Dental Clinic we fully appreciate the importance of a healthy and attractive smile. We understand how the appearance of your teeth can greatly affect the way you feel about yourself. We will listen sympathetically to your concerns and advise you on the best way to achieve your desired result.

We are able to offer a wide range of cosmetic treatments using the latest in dental technology including:

Tooth Whitening - Click here for more information on teeth whitening

The teeth can be restored to their natural colour by tooth whitening. This can be achieved at home using a mild bleaching gel placed in small trays that are worn at night or power whitening in a 1 hour session in the dental chair. The technique produces an improvement in the brightness of the teeth with only minimal treatment.

White Fillings

There are now many techniques available to restore a broken or decayed tooth using a tooth coloured filling material. Here at Advance Dental Clinic we use both composite and porcelain restorations. Both these filling materials are matched to your own natural tooth colour. They are bonded by a special adhesive into your tooth, adding to the retention of the filling and sealing the tooth.

Veneers - Click here for more information on veneers

A veneer is a very fine facing made of porcelain which is bonded onto your natural tooth. The primary function is to improve the appearance and they can involve very little preparation of your own natural tooth. Veneers can be used in cases where the teeth are chipped, discoloured or crowded. They are most frequently used on your upper or lower front teeth.

Crowns - Click here for more information on dental crowns

A crown is a covering placed over the top of your own natural tooth to restore it for both the function and aesthetics. Crowns will greatly enhance the appearance of heavily filled, chipped, discoloured or misshapen teeth. In some cases they can be used to correct a malalignment of teeth where braces are not an option.

Bridges - Click here for more information on dental bridges

A bridge is used as a permanent replacement for one or more missing teeth. They are both aesthetic and functional, restoring your natural bite and preventing unwanted movement of the adjacent teeth and over eruption of the tooth opposite the gap. In simple terms they can be viewed as crowns joined together and cemented on the supporting teeth, with a fixed false tooth in between to "bridge the gap". They are a very desirable alternative to a removable partial denture.

Implants - Click here for more information on dental implants

An implant is a device gently placed into your jaw to act as an anchor for a single crown, bridge or to hold in a denture. The implant provides an independent tooth that provides stimulus to the bone. The data we have on implants shows this to be a very predictable form of treatment. Dr Moore is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and is delighted to offer this service here at Advance Dental Clinic.
