Practice Principle: Dr Andrew Moore BDS (Lond) - Reg no 64016
Since qualification in 1988 Dr Moore expanded his clinical experience by taking the post of Honorary Clinical Assistant in Oral Surgery at Basildon Hospital. He then completed a 2 year Postgraduate course in Orthodontics at Southend Hospital.
Dr Moore’s main interest is in the field of Implantology, which he has pursued with a commitment to postgraduate qualifications in this field, including a 1 year course in Implantology at The Centre for Reconstructive Surgery, Harley Street, London. He was one of the first dentists to be awarded The Diploma in Implant Dentistry by the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners at The Royal College of Surgeons. Andrew has now been placing dental implants since 1997 has extensive experience and takes referrals for implant treatment from other dentists in the area. Andrew now teaches Implant Dentistry to other dentists at the practice and at the Royal College of Surgeons.
Dr Moore is married with two children Alfie and Lily and still manages to find time for football, running, skiing, sailing and tennis
Practice Associate: Dr James Neale BDS (Lond) - Reg no 79787
James qualified from Guys hospital London in 2001 with a distinction in human health and disease. James is originally from Chelmsford and was a pupil at King Edwards Grammar School. He has a special interest in Restorative Dentistry including CEREC dentistry, root canal therapy’s and 6-month smile braces. James enjoys surfing and mountain walking in his spare time.
Practice Associate: Dr Vasileia Manoloutsou Dip.D.S
Vasileia graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2003 and speaks fluently English and Greek. Vasileia has been awarded The Diploma in Restorative Dentistry by the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners at The Royal College of Surgeons of England and has Platinum Accredited Invisalign Doctor status. In her spare time she likes playing tennis, doing yoga and Pilates.
Periodontist: Dr Leticia Casanova
Dr. Leticia Casanova completed her dental degree at the University of Oviedo, Spain. She immediately went on to work in private practice and began a PhD in Medicine.
In 2007, Leticia moved to the New York University College of Dentistry in United States where she completed 2 years full-time postgraduate training in Periodontics and was awarded the Fellowship in Periodontology. Her responsibilities included a teaching position in the Undergraduate Periodontics Program and she has also been awarded first place in postgraduate research in Periodontics.
She is now completing her PhD in Medicine, investigating the links between Periodontal disease and systemic diseases such as Diabetes. Leticia is bilingual in English and Spanish and currently focuses her work to Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.
Dr Casanova is a member of the General Dental Council and the American Academy of Osseointegration.
Specialist Oral Surgeon: Dr Nadir Khan BDS FDS RCPS FFD RCSI
Nadir graduated form Glasgow University in 1986 and after 7 years in general practice , pursued a full time career in oral and Maxillofacial surgery. He is on the board of examiners for the MFDS exam in Glasgow and the Diploma in Implant Dentistry in Edinburgh and for the past 14 years has run a successful oral surgery referral practice in Colchester . Nadir is pleased to receive referrals for all impactions of wisdom teeth , Odontogenis cysts, soft tissue lesions affecting the oral and peri-oral tissues and pre-prosthetic surgery or grafting of deficient ridges where implants are to be placed by the referring clinician . He is a fellow of the Royal college of surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow and holds a specialist fellowship in Oral surgery and oral Medicine from the Royal College of surgeons of ireland . Hygienists
Our Hygienists Lorna and Amy have extensive experience in maintaing oral health. This can range from simple scaling, polishing and instruction in maintaining oral hygiene to more complex gum treatments in conjunction with our Periodontist Leticia. They also help to maintain the dental health of our implant patients from the beginning of treatment to the fitting of the final crowns and bridges.
